A concerned citizen of Bayelsa State and political scientist based in the United States, Stephen Ayakpo, has described the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mr. Nyesom Wike, as an unintelligent and double-faced politician.
Ayakpo, who was reacting to Wike’s comments on the recent resignation of Governor Douye Diri from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as an embarrassment, wondered how to describe the FCT’s minister choice to desecrate and abandon his own party to support APC in the 2023 presidential election.
He asserted that the idefection of Gov. Diri to the APC has killed Wike’s ambition to annex Bayelsa State as part of his enclave using President Bola Tinubu’s second term project.
“How does Nyesom think? He thought he is the only one with friends in the Presidential Villa. What is his business if Governor Diri joins another party?” he asked.
Ayakpo said Wike, who is serving under an APC-led federal government has no moral right to question anyone leaving the PDP, the same party he is using his stooges to destroy for his selfish interest.

According to him, Wike is morally corrupt and that was what led to the political crisis with his godson in Rivers State, Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
“Fubara, had already finished him politically before President Tinubu rescued him. He is such an unpopular politician among ordinary Rivers people. He is merely enjoying the cover of Mr. President or else, he is just a under the influence.
“Wike should go and eat his PDP. I think that is the message from Governor Diri, whom I think has found a new relationship with the Villa and friends around Tinubu. Diri is a very intelligent and smart politician unlike Wike.
“Diri’s movement is in the interest of our people. Let him join APC to be on the political frontline to negotiate for the Ijaw nation and to attract more developmental projects to us”, Ayakpo stated.
