Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, a Fulani socio-cultural association, has finally given reasons why pastoralists spread across the country have resolved to throw their weights in support of the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
The group who spoke at a rally organised to endorse the presidential candidate of the APC weekend in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa state, believed that the interest of pastoralists would be more secure under the APC administration.
Making their positions known through their national President, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo, the group strongly believed that the interest of the pastoralists would best be represented under the APC government.
They explained that they have extensively discussed with the leadership of the ruling APC, regarding the challenges confronting pastoralists in the country and have been assured that, under the APC, the National Livestock Transformation Plan (NLTP), will be implemented.
Adding that, the members of the group, have as well been assured that, the issue of farmers and herders crisis, will be addressed head-on.
The president of the association also noted that members of his group have confidence that progress and development will come the way of the pastoralists if the APC is giving the needed support to produce the next president of the country.
He said “Our members have come from across the 36 states of the federation to show solidarity and endorse our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shettima, as our preferred candidate in the forthcoming general elections. We believe the interest of the pastoralists will be represented under the APC.”
The leadership of the group, he said, has fashioned out plans to mobilise all its members to queue behind the presidential candidate of the APC 2023 general elections.

He said ”Across the country, we have mobilised our members to ensure that APC receives total support from our members, who have massively participated in the registration of voters exercise. And we believe, in sha Allah, by the special grace of God, we are going to deliver this mandate”
The group also unanimously agreed to throw their weight behind the APC’s governorship candidate of the state, Engineer Abdullahi Sule.
Citing the proactive steps put in place by the state governor to address herders/farmers crisis, Miyetti Allah, he said is throwing its support behind Engineer Sule “because he was among the first governors to start implementing the NLTP and he has been working assiduously to ensure that sustainable peace between farmers and herders in Nasarawa State is achieved.”
Speaking through his running mate, the presidential candidate of the APC, assured members of the Fulani community across the country that when elected, the APC will improve pastoralism, agriculture and education, which are key concerns of members of the Miyetti Allah.
