WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis was taken into custody on Friday on misdemeanor domestic violence charges.
The arrest stems from an incident that occurred near Miami, Florida, on June 15, which was Father’s Day.
Davis is accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, who is the mother of his two children, outside her residence.
The 30-year-old was arrested in Miami but has since been released on a $10,000 (£7,400) bond, with a court hearing set for July 29.
