Information has surfaced indicating that the former Accountant General of Rivers State, Hon. Siminialayi Fubara has clinched the PDP governorship primaries ticket by polling the highest number of votes to emerge the winner.
The Trumpet gathered that Hon. Fubara scored 721 votes while his closest opponent, Dr Isaac Kamalu had 86 votes. Other aspirants had the following votes, Hon. Dr Dax George Kelly 37 votes; Dr Tammy Wenike Danagogo 36 votes; Chief David Briggs 4 votes; Chief West Morgan 4 votes and Bro. Felix Obuah 2 votes. The Trumpet Gathered
Our correspondent further gathered that the immediate past Sole Administrator of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA), Bro. Felix Obuah; the immediate past Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr Tammy Wenike Danagogo and Dr Gabriel Pidomson, were not at the venue of the primaries and efforts to get a possible reason behind their absence was not obtained at the time of filing this report.

However, delegates did not vote for the former Deputy Governor, Engr. Tele lkuru; former Transport Minister, Dr Abiye Sekibo; Senator representing Rivers East Senatorial District, Senator George Thompson Sekibo; Senator Olaka Wogu; former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Austin Opara; former Commissioner for Sports, Hon. Boma lyaye and the only female aspirant.
