Voting commenced on schedule at Polling Unit 18, Post Office, in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) as residents turned out to participate in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) area council elections.
The process began at exactly 9:05 a.m. after electoral officials pasted the voter register and party agents verified voter details using the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), signaling the formal start of accreditation and voting.
Observers at the polling unit confirmed that the exercise has proceeded smoothly, with the BVAS machines functioning properly and voters being accredited without any technical hitches.
