The wife of the Vice President, Hajiya Nana Kashim Shettima, has arrived in Cross River State to spearhead the Renewed Hope Initiative’s empowerment program targeting vulnerable groups and women. Representing the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Hajiya Shettima will oversee the distribution of support items and launch programs designed to uplift communities in the state.

Upon her arrival on Tuesday, Hajiya Shettima was warmly received by the Governor of Cross River State, Prince Bassey Edet Otu, during a colorful reception at the Governor’s residence. In his welcoming remarks, the Governor expressed his admiration for the Renewed Hope Initiative’s impactful work in empowering women and fostering community development across Nigeria.

“This is truly a great day for us in Cross River State,” the Governor remarked. “Your visit signifies the commitment of this administration to uplifting vulnerable groups. To build a vibrant society, we must empower our women and provide them with the tools they need to thrive.” He also reiterated the state government’s resolve to ease the economic challenges facing citizens.
