Tennis icon Venus Williams has quietly tied the knot with Italian actor and producer Andrea Preti, sealing their union in two intimate wedding ceremonies held in Italy and the United States.
The couple’s first ceremony took place on September 18 in Ischia, Italy, a destination they had long dreamed of for their wedding. Williams revealed that while Italy held deep personal appeal, legal requirements for foreign couples made it necessary to hold a second ceremony on American soil.
Florida, where Williams has strong personal ties, was chosen for the follow-up celebration. The Palm Beach ceremony was planned by renowned event designer Jennifer Zabinski of JZ Events, who also coordinated Serena Williams’ star-studded wedding in 2017.
The Florida wedding unfolded over a week of carefully curated celebrations. Venus described the experience as fleeting yet deeply meaningful, noting how quickly the days passed. She shared that her sister Serena gifted the couple a luxury yacht, hosting an intimate gathering with close family and friends filled with music, laughter and heartfelt moments.
Events during the week included a bridal shower and a romantic dinner at Sopra, an exclusive members’ club in Miami. The legal ceremony was held at a courthouse on December 19, where Venus wore a custom dress by Morilee New York, according to Vogue.

Andrea Preti described the courthouse ceremony as deeply emotional and personal, calling it the second most important day of his life after the wedding itself.
The main wedding ceremony followed, rich with symbolism and personal tributes. Preti walked down the aisle with his mother to “I’ll Be There” by the Jackson 5, a song he said reflected her unwavering support for Venus. Venus made her entrance to “Ovunque Sarai” by Italian singer Irama, a song that reminded her of her late grandmother, who passed away during the COVID-19 pandemic.
After exchanging handwritten vows, the couple exited to “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” by Stevie Wonder and shared their first dance at the reception to “I Only Have Eyes for You” by the Flamingos.
The celebrations concluded with an after-party at Sophia’s Hobe Sound in Hobe Sound, Florida, bringing a joyful close to a wedding that blended elegance, family and deeply personal moments.
