Billionaire Jeff Bezos and his fiancée, media figure Lauren Sánchez, are making headlines as guests at the Aman Venice Hotel were compelled to leave their rooms to accommodate the couple and their celebrity attendees.

Despite having made reservations ahead of time, many guests were asked to vacate, leading to a chaotic atmosphere in the hotel lobby.

This situation sparked frustration among those displaced, with some reportedly being moved to different hotels.

A source indicated that the affected guests were offered compensation by the hotel, which included complimentary lodging and upgraded services.

However, the controversy surrounding the evictions continues to incite public anger, as many express dissatisfaction with how Bezos and his entourage were allowed to take over the entire hotel at the expense of others.

The situation was exacerbated by a heavy security presence, which ensured the wedding proceeded smoothly while restricting public access.

Scheduled for June 26 to June 28, the wedding is attracting significant attention due to its lavish arrangements, star-studded guest list, and the surrounding controversies.

Despite the upheaval, the wedding is expected to be an extravagant event, with costs estimated in the tens of millions. It will feature luxurious floral displays, high-end catering, and a notable guest list that includes Ivanka Trump and famous fashion designer Diane von Fürstenberg.

The opulence of the celebration has drawn comparisons to some of the most extravagant weddings in recent history, including Princess Diana’s wedding in 1981, a comparison made by Lauren Sánchez’s brother, Paul Sánchez.

However, the couple’s wedding has faced its share of criticism. Environmental group Greenpeace and the “Everyone Hates Elon” campaign staged a protest against Bezos and his lavish ceremony.

The protests focused on the stark contrast between Bezos’ vast wealth and his perceived lack of contributions to society.

Some demonstrators have criticized the billionaire for spending lavishly on the wedding while allegedly evading his fair share of taxes.

As tensions escalate, the protests have prompted Bezos and his team to modify their plans, including changing certain venues and adjusting the schedule to mitigate further unrest.

In a unique development, the wedding’s security team has taken extensive measures to ensure the couple’s privacy and safety, designating special areas for celebrities and high-profile guests away from the public.

Meanwhile, law enforcement remains vigilant, ready to address any potential disturbances.

Additionally, a fleet of 35 to 50 water taxis has been arranged to transport guests to and from various wedding locations.
