Activist Verydarkman has shared the story of his unexpected meeting with former Chief of Defence Staff Christopher Musa, saying he is pleased to hear of Musa’s nomination as Minister of Defence.
He explained that soldiers arrived for him without warning on the morning of the 19th, leaving him unsure of what to expect. He was taken to a military base in Asokoro where Musa waited. According to him, Musa asked that everyone step out so the two of them could speak privately.
Verydarkman said Musa recognised him at once and asked for his help. The former CDS wanted a full account of what he saw during his visit to Yelwata, noting that VDM had been the first person to record events there when many others were afraid to go. He said Musa listened carefully and encouraged him to share any further information.

He added that they took a photograph on June 20, 2025, after the meeting. Reflecting on Musa’s removal as CDS and the new nomination, he described Musa as a man who genuinely sought answers and showed no pride when it came to gathering facts from any source.
He said this was why he welcomed the news of Musa’s return to national service as Minister of Defence.
