Legendary American rapper Snoop Dogg has become a co-owner of Swansea City football team, which plays in the English Championship.
The 53-year-old artist, famous for hits like “Drop it like it’s hot,” teased his involvement while promoting the club’s new shirts over the weekend.
He joins Croatian football star Luka Modric as a new investor in the team.
Snoop expressed his excitement, saying, “I’ve always loved football, and it’s really special for me to become part of Swansea City.
“The story of the club and the city touched me. It’s a proud, working-class place, and I admire how they always fight back, just like I do.”

Last weekend, Snoop Dogg helped unveil Swansea’s new kit. The club shared a statement celebrating his partnership, saying they are thrilled to have him on board as a high-profile co-owner.
Snoop has had an impressive career, selling over 35 million albums during his more than 30 years in music.
He’s also a big sports fan, particularly of football, and has had various endorsements over the years, including a role promoting FIFA video games.
