The 2025 US Open men’s singles draw has set the stage for what could be another epic battle between tennis’ fiercest young rivals, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. Both stars, who have dominated the sport over the past two seasons, have been announced as the top two seeds for the Grand Slam showdown scheduled to run from August 24 to September 7 in New York.

World No.1 and defending champion Jannik Sinner leads the field as he chases his third major title of the season, adding to an already historic year. But all eyes will be on the possibility of another blockbuster final against Carlos Alcaraz, who enters the tournament as the No.2 seed. The two players have become the faces of men’s tennis, sharing the last seven Grand Slam trophies between them and thrilling fans with their fierce rivalry. In their Lexus ATP Head2Head encounters, Alcaraz holds a narrow 9-5 edge, adding even more anticipation to a potential US Open final clash.

Behind them, Germany’s Alexander Zverev, the 2020 US Open finalist, is seeded third and remains a dangerous contender. American fans will rally behind Taylor Fritz, seeded fourth, after his breakthrough run to the final in Flushing Meadows last year. Rising British star Jack Draper, a semi-finalist in 2024, is seeded fifth and could meet Sinner in a highly anticipated quarter-final matchup.

The depth of the field only adds to the excitement. Big-serving American Ben Shelton takes the sixth seed, while tennis legend Novak Djokovic, still chasing history at 38, has been handed the seventh seed. Australian Alex de Minaur rounds out the top eight as he continues his climb into the sport’s elite.

With Sinner’s relentless baseline power, Alcaraz’s explosive shot-making, and a host of challengers ready to spoil the party, the 2025 US Open promises to be one of the most thrilling tournaments in recent memory. Fans around the world will be watching closely to see if the new era of tennis continues its stranglehold on the Grand Slam stage—or if a surprise challenger can break through at Flushing Meadows.
