Prof. Egbewole added that the health walk also symbolizes the university’s deep-rooted connection with its host community, stressing that UNILORIN remains an active stakeholder in the socio-economic development of Ilorin and Kwara State.
He further appreciated the university’s development partners and international friends for their continuous support, noting that their contributions have greatly influenced the institution’s progress and the success of the anniversary programme.
The walk will climax with a courtesy visit to the Emir of Ilorin, Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, a gesture the vice chancellor described as symbolic, given the Emirate’s longstanding support for the university since its establishment.
