The Governor of Cross River State, Bassey Otu, will officially welcome the Minister of Works, David Umahi, to the flag-off ceremony of the long-anticipated continuation of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway.
The massive infrastructure project, which commenced in Lagos State, has now reached the Cross River axis, with construction set to begin on Section 3A/3B, starting from Awi in Akamkpa Local Government Area.
The event is billed for Monday, April 14 and is expected to be witnessed by the Minister of State for Industry, John Enoh and members of the National Assembly, state legislators, traditional rulers and other key stakeholders

The Cross River State axis of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway is a 38-kilometer stretch that passes through Odukpani and Akamkpa Local Government Areas and is expected to stimulate local economic activities.
It will also improve travel and logistics, create jobs, attract investments and promote national integration
