Destiny Udogie in Udinese sublimed 4-0 victory over Fiorentina in Serie A clash on Wednesday, scored in stoppage-time to finalise the romp.
The Italian-born Nigerian, on loan from Hellas Verona, was a key figure in the defence for Udinese who maintained a clean sheet in the visitors’ reverberated victory.
During the game, the 19 years old defender made a series of moves in the game which were unfruitful but persistently kept on the push.
The game was highly dominated by Fiorentina with overwhelming ball possession statistics against the visitors but that did not stop Udogie from making attempts at goal.
Sustaining the pressure mounted on Udinese by Fiorentina, a counter-attack was initiated with Udogie in the play. This led to the second goal in the 36th minute after the defender’s attempt was parried by Pietro Terracciano and Deulofeu jabbed it into the net.

Bianconeri broke the goal-vault in 12 minutes through Pablo Mari and doubled the scoreline from Isaac Success’ strike partner, Gerard Deulofeu, before halftime.
Though Isaac Success contributed greatly to Udinese’s surge at the Artemio Franchi Stadium, 21 minutes into the second half, Gabrielle Cioffi opted for Ignacio Pussetto in lieu of the striker.
Fiorentina exerted more pressure on Bianconeri who fought relentlessly to defend the lead.
However, Udogie who had made attempts without the desired return finally got a last-minute grasp after Wallace’s 91st-minute goal.
