To further encourage a robust savings culture and reward its loyal customers, the United Bank for Africa (UBA), at the weekend, announced winners in its May edition of the Super Savers Draw at its Corporate Head Office in Marina, Lagos.
At the draw, which was anchored by Yvonne Anoruo and Nnenna Okarie, five winners emerged among Next Generation customers comprising mainly students and youth corps members, who saved a minimum of N5,000 in their accounts and were rewarded with N15,000 monthly for a full year.
The winners were announced as Ramotu Momodu; Oluwatiwa Ogunsanwo; Ilyasu Abdullahi Ibrahim; Emediong Ime Asuquo and Esther Benjamin, some of who were contacted on telephone to be informed about their winnings.
The second category of winners were 10 customers, who saved N10,000 in the savings account for three months and won N1 million each. They are: Thecular Uchechi Ibekwere; Gabriel Okeke; Yemisi Adeniran; Adeniran Rauf Akinde; Samuel Mercy; Isah Shuaibu; Adewale M. Olayiwola; Kingsley C. Nnaka; Anene Dubem and Ughegbe Martins.
Also, in the UBA Bumper Account category, 20 customers won N100, 000 each. The winners include: Oluchi Philomena; Ojemu Stella Chinyere; Shola Friday Bamidele; Safarudeen E. Sukanmi; Jamila Usman; Rafiu Ibrahim Mohammed; Fine Ughelli; Anietie Sunday A; Gloria Folake and Rabiu Ahmed Imam.

Others in this category are: Prestige Chukwuemeka; Ifeanyi Okechukwu; Titilayo Mufutau; Aminat Abisola; Nasir Umar Ishak; Musa Salisu, Chibueze Emeka; Ali Isla; Onireti Babatunde and Ayoola Daniel.
Other winners at the draw are: Veronica Bisimau Ologho, who was rewarded with N500,000 shopping allowance; Naomi Ogoma Abah, who won N1.2 million for a year’s rent, while the grand award of N2 million went to Elisha Zani Yusuf.
Responding when contacted on the telephone, Naomi expressed delight at the reward, while Yusuf was elated at the thought of being rewarded with N2 million and commended the bank for what he described as ‘a pleasant surprise.’
The bank urged those who have not opened accounts to do so in order to benefit from future rewards.
It also encouraged its loyal customers to continue saving with a view to winning the various sums in the future and assured that it would continue to offer its customers quality service through all its channels and areas of operation.
