Turkish Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Hidayet Bayraktar, has announced his country’s readiness to collaborate with the Yobe State government.
The announcement which was made during a courtesy visit to Governor Mai Mala Buni, was aimed at harnessing Yobe State’s extensive arable lands and agricultural potential.
The partnership, highlighted in a press statement by Mamman Mohammed, Director General of Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, includes Turkey providing machinery and technical support while Yobe State offers the necessary land for agricultural development.
Ambassador Bayraktar praised the state government’s dedication to transforming its agricultural sector. He emphasized Turkey’s commitment to supporting Yobe State’s agricultural initiatives.

Governor Buni welcomed the collaboration, highlighting its potential to create employment for the state’s youth and contribute to food security.
“The state is focusing on a massive agricultural revolution, and this collaboration will support us in engaging our youth,” he said.
Governor Buni assured that the state government would fulfill its part of the agreement, ensuring the partnership’s success for the benefit of Yobe State and its people.
