President Donald Trump, accompanied by First Lady Melania Trump and key members of his administration, paid solemn tribute to the victims of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on Thursday.
The memorial ceremony took place in the serene courtyard of the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, marking the 24th anniversary of that tragic day.
During the ceremony, which included moments of silence and reflections on the lives lost, attendees honored the 184 individuals who perished when hijacked American Airlines Flight 77 struck the Pentagon.

The catastrophic event was part of a coordinated series of attacks that claimed nearly 3,000 lives nationwide.
Of those who lost their lives that day, the overwhelming majority were victims of the two planes that crashed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City.
Additionally, many lives were lost in a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where passengers bravely fought against the hijackers to prevent further destruction.
The remembrance ceremony served as a poignant reminder of the enduring impact of that day on families, communities, and the nation as a whole.
