United States President Donald Trump has outlined a sweeping military strategy targeting Iran, declaring that American operations in the Middle East may be entering a decisive phase.
In a strongly worded statement, Trump said the United States is closing in on key objectives aimed at weakening what he described as Iran’s military capabilities. He identified priority targets to include missile systems, defence production infrastructure, and key components of Iran’s naval and air forces.
The president stressed that preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons remains central to U.S. policy, noting that Washington must remain ready to respond swiftly to any emerging threat.
Trump also underscored the importance of protecting U.S. allies in the region, specifically naming Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Kuwait as critical partners whose security must be guaranteed.

On the issue of the strategic Strait of Hormuz, a vital global oil route, Trump argued that nations most dependent on the corridor should take primary responsibility for its security. However, he added that the United States would continue to provide support where necessary.
The announcement comes amid heightened geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, with analysts warning that any escalation could have far-reaching implications for global energy markets and regional stability.
Trump concluded by suggesting that once Iran’s military capacity is significantly degraded, maintaining long-term stability in the region would become more achievable for both the United States and its allies.
