President Joe Biden has consoled Democratic Party supporters, counselling them to live with the outcome of the United States presidential election, saying majority of Americans have expressed their preference for the Republican Party and its candidate, Donald Trump.
He declared that campaigns are a contest of conflicting views and visions by different candidates, from which voters and the country must choose from as exemplified by the Democratic Party’s decision to conceed victory to the Republicans and Trump.
The US president advised Democratics.and their supporters not to perceive the Republicans and their supporters as enemies but fellow Americans.

Former US President, Barack Obama had earlier expressed the same stance, while commending Democratic presidential candidate, Kamala Harris for her formidable effort at the polls and for accepting the results at the election.
Many Americans having been showing grave discontent at the emergence of Trump as the 47th president and the second ever president to make a combat to power in US history.
The first to achieve that honour is Grover Cleveland, who came back in 1893 was the first after being defeated and then re-elected for a second, non -consecutive term.
He was a Democrat from New Jersey.
