A truck ladened with Pasta has killed one person while others sustained varying degrees of injuries in Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The accident occurred around 3 pm yesterday, February 1, 2022, at a popular area called ‘celestial’.
Eyewitness at the scene of the incident narrated that the truck could not ascend the Okerigbo hill in the community and lost its control into a ditch.
Ikare Unit Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Oluropo Alabi, confirmed the accident and said his men went for a rescue operation.

Speaking after the incident, the students union president of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Comrade Ogunsanmi Kolade, said no trailers will be allowed to ply the road during the day.
