Panic erupted in Sao Paulo, Brazil, early this morning when a small King Air F90 plane crashed into a public bus, triggering a massive fire that sent thick plumes of smoke into the sky. The shocking incident occurred around 7:20 AM local time on Avenida Marques de Sao Vicente in Barra Funda, a bustling area of the city.

The ill-fated aircraft, which had taken off just five minutes earlier from Campo de Marte Airport, was attempting an emergency landing when it lost control and plummeted to the ground. Fortunately, no passengers were on board the bus at the time of impact, but authorities have yet to confirm how many people were inside the plane, which has a capacity of eight passengers.

This terrifying accident comes just weeks after a devastating plane crash in December claimed the lives of ten family members in the southern tourist town of Gramado. That tragedy unfolded when a small jet collided with a chimney, a residential home, and a furniture store, leading to a fiery explosion that injured at least 17 people on the ground.

According to Brazil’s civil defense agency, the December crash also sent debris flying into a nearby guesthouse, causing widespread destruction. The aircraft’s owner and pilot, Luiz Claudio Galeazzi, was among those who perished, along with nine other family members traveling with him.

As emergency responders battle the raging fire in Barra Funda, investigators are racing to determine what went wrong in this latest aviation disaster. With Brazil seeing multiple plane crashes in recent months, concerns are mounting over aviation safety and the urgent need for stricter regulations to prevent further tragedies.
This developing story continues to unfold, and authorities are expected to release more details in the coming hours.
