Topfaith Schools in Mkpatak, Essien Udim, Akwa Ibom State, has awarded a N1.5 million cash prize to its best-performing student in the 2024 Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE). Dr. Emmanuel Abraham, the Chairman of Topfaith Schools, announced this during a press briefing in Uyo.

The top scholar, Master Emmanuel Xkhome from Delta State, achieved an outstanding result, scoring eight A’s in the SSCE, earning him the title of “Scholar of the Year.” Dr. Abraham emphasized that this success was the result of a deliberate and focused effort by the school’s teachers, parents, and students, rather than a stroke of luck.

“Our philosophy at Topfaith is to always aim for the top because we believe in excellence. This year’s SSCE results have surpassed last year’s performance, with our students excelling across the board,” Dr. Abraham stated.

Out of the 193 students presented by Topfaith Schools for the 2024 SSCE, the first 40 students achieved exceptional grades. Notably, three students, including Xkhome, secured 8 A’s each in the nine subjects they offered. The second group of nine students scored seven A’s, while the third set earned six A’s. The remaining students also performed admirably, with many securing grades that qualify them for university admission.

Dr. Abraham, an economist and education expert, highlighted that the school’s consistent academic success is driven by its unwavering commitment to excellence. “We are proud to see our students achieving such high marks. Our intentional approach to education, combined with the dedication of our students and teachers, continues to yield extraordinary results,” he said.

He further noted that the school’s top students are well-positioned for university admissions, especially with institutions like the University of Calabar now using grade points to screen candidates. “With grades like 8 or 9 A’s, our students are set to dominate the admission process this year. No one will be able to compete with our students for university spots,” Dr. Abraham confidently declared.

Topfaith Schools’ success story continues to inspire as they set the bar higher each year, making them a leading institution in academic achievement in Nigeria.
