President Bola Tinubu has compared the economic difficulties faced by Nigerians to the “pain of a difficult surgery,” expressing confidence that his administration’s reforms will soon lead to prosperity.
During his speech on Friday at the coronation of the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, held at Mapo Hall, Tinubu called on Nigerians to remain patient and supportive of his government.
“Thank you for your support,” Tinubu addressed the people of Ibadan. “I am here today to ask you to stand by me. It is my time, and we are making progress.

“The economy is improving. There is a bright light at the end of the tunnel. Your current struggles are akin to the pain of a difficult surgery, but they will lead us back to growth and prosperity.”
Earlier in the event, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde presented the staff of office to Oba Rashidi Ladoja, officially recognizing him as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The occasion attracted traditional rulers, political leaders, and dignitaries from across Nigeria.
