The announcement was made during a reception held for the team at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday.
Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Tinubu praised the team for their achievement and for bringing pride to Nigeria.
He also bestowed national honours on the players and provided each of them with an apartment.

The victorious D’Tigress arrived at the Presidential Villa shortly before 5 pm and were escorted to the New Banquet Hall of the State House.
The team secured their seventh AfroBasket title and fifth consecutive win by defeating Mali 78-64 in the final held at the Palais des Sports de Treichville in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, on Sunday night, further establishing their dominance in African women’s basketball.
This announcement comes just a week after Tinubu hosted the Super Falcons, who celebrated their impressive 10th WAFCON title in Rabat, Morocco.
Each player from the Super Falcons also received $100,000, which has generated mixed reactions among Nigerians, particularly on social media.
