President Bola Tinubu has rescheduled the presentation of the N47.9 trillion 2025 budget to a joint session of the National Assembly.
Tinubu was earlier scheduled to present the 2025 Appropriation Bill on Tuesday. This was announced by Senate President Godswill Akpabio last Thursday at plenary. He stated that the budget presentation will take place in the House of Representatives chamber, marking a significant step in the legislative process for the fiscal year.

However, reports within the National Assembly indicated that the presentation has been shifted to Wednesday.
The reasons for the postponement were not immediately confirmed, a top National Assembly management confirmed that Wednesday’s presentation was sacrosanct.
The official said a statement to that effect will be officially released in a few hours.
