U.S. Congressman Riley Moore has urged President Bola Tinubu to take immediate action to rescue Reverend Father Nathaniel Asuwaye, a Catholic priest who was kidnapped in Kaduna State, along with 10 others.
Moore raised his concerns on Monday in a post on X, highlighting the safety of the abducted priest from Holy Trinity Parish and his congregation.
He reported that three church members were killed during the attack that resulted in the abduction, attributing the violence to extremist groups.
Moore characterized the past week as one of the most lethal for Christians in Nigeria in recent times, pointing to a series of attacks and killings throughout the country.
