President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the United State President elect, Donald Trump on his landslide victory in the presidential election, stating he looks forward to strengthening ties between Nigeria and the USA, fostering economic cooperation and promoting peace.
President Tinubu claims Trump’s victory reflects the trust and confidence the American people have in his leadership being the second time he is winning an election amid challenges.
While President Tinubu commended the American peoples’ commitment to democracy, former Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar has commended the process of the election.
Atiku stated that “it stands as an enduring testament to the resilience and vitality, of the democratic process amid oppositions.”

Atiku further stated that democracy with its trials remains a positive process for electing leadership and that Donald Trump’s political journey inspires courage to rise after every fall, ultimately claiming victory.
He said he followed the US presidential election very closely, expressing satisfaction in the outcome.
He advised President -elect Trump to continue his reolute advocacy for credible elections nationwide and remain steadfast in dismantling anti-democratic forces.
Atiku further pointed out the electoral process in the US is a lesson for Nigeria to foster and maintain the integrity of the electoral process, including conducting and maintaining free and fair elections .
