President Bola Tinubu arrived in Katsina State on Tuesday to receive the body of former President Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away in London on Sunday at the age of 82.
Vice-President Kashim Shettima had flown from London earlier that morning, bringing Buhari’s remains back to Nigeria.
When Tinubu arrived at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua Airport in Katsina, he was welcomed by several dignitaries.

The dignitaries included Governor Dikko Radda, former Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, various state governors, and prominent business leader, Alhaji Aliko Dangote.
Also present were the Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, ministers, former governors, and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee, among others.
