Following the conclusion of Muheebah Dankaka’s tenure, President Bola Tinubu has named Kayode Oladele, the Federal Commissioner for Ogun State at the Federal Character Commission (FCC), as the acting chairman of the commission.
Oladele’s appointment comes after Dankaka completed her five-year term as executive chairman of the FCC.
His selection has received widespread praise from certain staff members, identified as the FCC Liberation Group.
The group had previously organized protests against Dankaka’s reappointment, accusing her of ineffective leadership.

Described as an experienced legal professional, human rights advocate, and former chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Financial Crimes, Oladele has earned a reputation for his vision, integrity, and accountability.
The group emphasized that his history of public service, characterized by hard work, intellectual rigor, and patriotism, makes him highly qualified to lead the commission.
