President Bola Tinubu has forwarded the name of Dr. Bernard Doro to the Senate for confirmation as a Minister.
The nomination was announced on Tuesday in a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
Dr. Doro, who hails from Plateau State, is being nominated to replace Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, the former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, who was elected national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in July.
Presidency sources revealed that Tinubu made the decision during a private meeting with close aides on Monday evening, where discussions also covered filling other vacant cabinet positions, including that of the minister of innovation, science and technology, who recently resigned.
