Golf legend Tiger Woods says he is hopeful of competing at the upcoming Masters after making his long-awaited return to action in the TGL league.

The 15-time major champion, who has been sidelined for over a year following multiple surgeries, including a back procedure in October, featured in his first competitive appearance since 2025.

However, his side, Jupiter Links, suffered a heavy 9-2 defeat to Los Angeles Golf Club in the TGL season finale.

Despite the loss, Woods showed encouraging signs of recovery, delivering drives exceeding 300 yards and appearing physically stable throughout the match.

Still, the 50-year-old acknowledged that his participation at Augusta will ultimately depend on how well his body recovers in the coming weeks.

“I’ve been trying. This body doesn’t recover as it used to,” Woods admitted, reflecting on the challenges of returning from injury. “But I want to play.”

The Masters, which Woods has won five times, is set to begin on April 9 at the Augusta National Golf Club, a venue that holds deep personal and professional significance for the veteran golfer.

Woods has largely played a non-active role for Jupiter Links during the 2026 TGL season but stepped in for the final match.

His team initially showed promise but lost momentum after a missed short putt, allowing their opponents to seal victory with a dominant run.

While his competitive future remains uncertain, Woods maintains that he will be present at the Masters whether as a competitor or in support, underscoring his enduring connection to one of golf’s most iconic tournaments.
