Popular Nigerian music video director ThankGod Omori, also known as TG Omori, recently shared that his medical expenses over the past six months could buy him two Mercedes-Benz GLE cars and a smaller one, totaling hundreds of millions of naira.
In a post on social media, he emphasized the importance of health, saying, “after seeing my medical bills from the last six months, it really hit me. Health is wealth, for real.”
He noted that one session of dialysis, a treatment he needs for his kidney condition, costs more than N100,000.
Since some patients need up to three sessions a week, the costs can pile up quickly.

He expressed frustration and sadness, highlighting the struggle many people face with medical bills, especially those with limited resources.
While discussing the costs, some people responded, saying that the price for dialysis can vary significantly across Nigeria.
However, Tinubu’s aide, Dada Olusegun, stated that in some government hospitals, the cost is about N12,000 per session, while others questioned this claim, insisting that prices are much higher.
In August 2024, TG Omori underwent a kidney transplant at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos, thanks to his brother, who donated one of his kidneys to save his life.
