The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has announced a nationwide protest against the recent telecom tariff hike.
The protest is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
The decision was disclosed in a communiqué issued after the NLC’s national administrative council meeting held on Wednesday.

The labor union expressed strong opposition to the telecom tariff hike, describing it as an additional financial burden on Nigerians, already struggling with prevailing economic challenges.
Details of the planned demonstration, including locations and participation guidelines, are expected to be released in the coming days.

The NLC has urged the federal government and telecom operators to reconsider the price hike, warning that the protest will continue until their demands are met.
