TECNO has officially launched its highly anticipated Camon 40 series, positioning it as a direct competitor to the iPhone 15 Pro. Marketed as a game-changer in mobile photography and performance, the new lineup promises AI-powered imaging, ultra-fast charging, and top-tier durability.
With its advanced AI Pictorial Technology, the Camon 40 series delivers stunning photo snapshots, capturing dynamic moments with precision. The device boasts a 5200mAh battery with 45W ultra-fast charging, ensuring extended usage without long wait times for recharging. Engineered for resilience, it features water and dust resistance and is built with Gorilla Glass for enhanced toughness and durability.
During MWC 2025, TECNO introduced four models in the Camon 40 lineup: Camon 40 Premier, Camon 40 Pro 5G, Camon 40 Pro, and the standard Camon 40. Among them, the Camon 40 Premier sits at the top tier, boasting the most powerful chipset, superior display quality, enhanced cameras, and rapid charging capabilities.

TECNO is also catering to different markets by offering the Camon 40 Pro in both 5G and 4G variants. While the 5G version is equipped with a Dimensity 7300 SoC, the 4G model runs on a Helio G100 chip, making it a budget-friendly option for users in regions where 5G connectivity is still limited.
According to early reviews, the Camon 40 Premier brings a refined design and upgraded chipset compared to its predecessor. The Dimension 8200 processor has been replaced with a more powerful Dimensity 8350, ensuring improved performance and efficiency. The phone retains its two-tone aesthetic, available in Emerald Lake Green and Galaxy Black.
The display has seen slight modifications, now measuring 6.67 inches, down from 6.77 inches, but supporting a 144Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals. Features like 10-bit color depth and HDR support enhance the overall display experience.
With a price range between ₦275,000 and ₦353,000, the Camon 40 series is set to make waves in the smartphone market, offering high-end features at a competitive price. As TECNO continues to challenge premium brands like Apple and Xiaomi, the Camon 40 series may redefine the expectations for mid-range smartphones in 2025.
