A tragic accident has rocked the University of Delta, Agbor, claiming the life of Awele Eluemunor, a brilliant final-year nursing student, and leaving two others in critical condition.
According to reports, the horrifying incident occurred when a 100-level female student, who was learning to drive under the supervision of her boyfriend, lost control of the vehicle. The car swerved uncontrollably and struck 24-year-old Awele, killing her on the spot. Two others, whose identities have not yet been revealed, sustained severe injuries and are currently receiving emergency treatment at a hospital.
Eyewitnesses disclosed that the boyfriend, who owned the car, fled the scene immediately after the crash, abandoning both his girlfriend and the victims. The shocking turn of events has sparked outrage, with many questioning the recklessness of allowing an inexperienced driver to take control of a vehicle in a public space.
