The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has disclosed that the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) will experience an eight-hour power disruption today.
It explained that the power disruption is to enable the agency carry out a planned preventive maintenance at the Oghara 132/33kv transmission sub-station.
The TCN added the customers of the BEDC will experience the power disruption 10 am to 6 pm.
This scheduled maintenance on the Oghara power sub-station and the attendant power outage was contained in a statement by General Manager Public Affairs of TCN, Ndidi Mbah.

The statement added that the maintenance will enable the TCN maintenance crew to perform preventive maintenance of the T130mva 132/33kv transformer, its association equipment and the 33kv feeder bay.
“The Benin Electricity Distribution Company will interrupt electricity supply to customers through the Oghara Town and teaching hospital feeder during the period.
“However, the bulk power supply will be restored immediately after maintenance is completed,” it said.
