A Jalingo-based businessman, Alhaji Husseni Kashimu, has been arraigned before a Chief Magistrate Court in Taraba State over allegations of enticing a married woman and engaging in an extramarital affair with her.
The case, which was presided over by Chief Magistrate Chris Jonah, was filed by Mahmud Garba, a resident of Rafin Senyi, Jalingo.
Garba, had earlier accused Kashimu of having an illicit relationship with his wife, Hadiza Sani, and engaging in sexual relations with her.

During the court hearing, prosecution witness, Tahir Hassan testified that Kashimu had admitted to the affair during a reconciliation meeting at the palace of the Chief of Tigun in Kurmi Local Government Area.
According to Hassan, Kashimu had previously pledged to end the relationship but allegedly failed to do so.
Despite interventions, the witness claimed that Kashimu continued the affair with Hadiza Sani, a mother of five.
Chief Magistrate Jonah adjourned the case to April 9, for further hearing and directed the prosecution counsel, Danlami Shehu, to ensure the presence of the remaining two witnesses at the next court session to expedite the trial.
