In furtherance to its corporate social responsibility, Pipeline surveillance company, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) has constructed 13 new offices for the Nigerian Army, 3 Battalion, Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.

In addition, the company also remodelled 22 offices within Sector 1, facilities in the same Effurun Barracks.

Speaking while inaugurating the twin projects, Chief Kestin Pondi, the Managing Director of Tantita said that globally, sustainable security is not delivered alone by an institution.

He said that sustainable security thrived where there was collaboration between the private and public institutions.

Pondi said this principle forms the bedrock of Tantita’s strategy in carrying out its contractual duty of protecting Nigeria’s critical energy infrastructure.

According to him, Tantita had worked tirelessly with government security agencies, notably the Nigerian Army, to combat oil theft, pipeline vandalism and related economic sabotage since its engagement by the Federal Government in August 2022.

He acknowledged the professionalism, discipline and operational leadership of the Nigerian Army to the progress recorded so far by the firm.

“Today’s inauguration is therefore not merely about erecting buildings or offices. It represents an investment in people, in capacity and in operational effectiveness.

“The newly constructed and remodeled facilities are designed to improve coordination, enhance
operational readiness, and support the welfare of the officers and men who put their lives on the line in service to our great nation.

“As Nigeria continues to strengthen its energy security, partnerships such as this will remain essential,” he said.

The managing director reaffirmed Tantita’s
belief that effective security must be supported by a conducive environment that promotes efficiency, dignity, and professionalism.

He added that strong institutions were not only built on clear mandates, but on the infrastructure and conditions that guaranteed excellence.

Pondi said that the projects which commenced in August 2025 was delivered in record time.

He said that the success showed that so much could be possible when public and private institutions synergised towards a common and lawful purpose.

Pondi said that Tantita remained committed to upholding the highest standards of accountability, collaboration, and service in support of the Nigerian Army and other security agencies.

He appreciated the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPCL), the Office of the National Security Adviser; the Project Management Office; government security agencies; host communities and Tantita’s staff for their cooperation, professionalism and trust.

“We look forward to deepening this partnership in the years ahead, in the shared pursuit of peace, security and sustainable development for our great nation,” Pondi said.

In his remarks, Maj. General Emmanuel Ejim-Emekah, the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 6 Division of the Nigerian Army said that the facilities would significantly make administration easier.

He said that Nigeria’s crude oil production had continued to witness improvement through sustained collaboration between the Nigerian Army, Tantita and other security partners.

Ejim-Emekah noted that partnerships with credible private sector operators such as Tantita had significantly strengthened the capacity of troops to combat oil theft, pipeline vandalism and other forms of economic sabotage in the Niger Delta.

“Tantita is doing a lot in support of 6 Division. They are not only active in Delta State but also extending their interventions to Rivers and Bayelsa States,” he said
