In a bid to ensure victory for the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, in the forthcoming general elections, different groups, as well as individuals, as noticed by The Trumpet, have continued to facilitate the process.

The latest of such individuals who has been working round the clock for Atiku’s victory, come 2023, is Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state.

This was observed when yesterday, Tambuwal inaugurated the executives of the Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara states’ chapters of the Northwest Business Communities for Atiku 2023 (NWBC4A) in support of the presidential ambition of the former Vice President.

Tambuwal who noted that Nigerians and the people of the region have at different times experienced the economic policies of the PDP and the All Progressives Congress (APC), believed that it is high time for them to make a comparative analysis.

Arguing that the PDP presidential candidate “is the best candidate for 2023 for his being a reputable businessman” if elected.

According to Tambuwal, “there will be a massive turn around in the country’s economy.”

The group as observed brought together the business communities from the aforementioned region of the country to work for the PDP presidential candidate.

Aligning his weight to that of Tambuwal, the grand patron of the group, Senator Abdul Ahmad Ningi commended the initiative of the group and its unrelenting efforts to ensure that the former Vice President emerge victorious in the general polls slated for 2023.

He stressed that Atiku “is a globally recognized technocrat who deserves the backing of all and sundry.”

He further added that as a group, they will give all the desired support and cooperation that will catapult the candidate to victory.

Visibly elated by the demonstration of love being shown to the PDP presidential candidate, the national coordinator of the group, Dr Ali Bappayo Adamu reassured that the group won’t waver in its support for Atiku’s presidential ambition.

PDP

The group, it would be recalled. that during its inception raised over N100 million as their contribution to enable the PDP Atiku to purchase both his expression of interest and nomination forms.
