Super Falcons striker Gift Monday has clinched the Liga Female Player of the Month for February.
The award came after her outstanding performances for UDG Tenerife in Spain’s top-flight women’s league.
The 23- year- old Nigerian superseded contenders like Real Madrid’s Alba Redondo, Caroline Graham Hansen of Barcelona, Deportivo’s Ainhoa Marín, Athletic Bilbao’s Ane Azkona, Granada’s Ari Mingueza, and Eibar’s Elba Vergés, to secured the juice award.
Monday joined Tenerife in 2022 from FC Robo on a three-year contract and recently extended her stay at the club until 2027.
She is now the second Nigerian to receive such honour, after Rasheedat Ajibade, who won the inaugural edition of the award in September 2024.
