Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago will gather in London in May 2025 to compete for the Unity trophy.
This event, called: “The Best in the West – the Afro classico contest,” will thrill fans with two exciting semi-finals showcasing local rivalries.
According to a press release on the Ghana Foosball Association’s website, the first semi-final will take place on Tuesday, May 27, featuring the inaugural TriniJam match on UK soil, where Trinidad and Tobago’s Soca Warriors will go up against Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz to find out who reigns supreme in the West Indies.
On Wednesday, May 28, the Super Eagles will take on Ghana’s Black Stars to see which team can claim the title in West Africa.
The four teams will meet again on Saturday, May 31, for a double-header, playing two matches to decide who earns the bronze medal, followed by the final match to crown the champion of The Unity Cup 2025.

Nigeria, a two-time winner of the Unity Cup, might be seen as the favorites because of their FIFA ranking and recent games.
However, things can change when they face their West African rivals, Ghana, who are returning to London after previously defeating the Super Eagles with a score of 4-1.
Jamaica will also join the tournament, wanting to make up for their previous loss by just one goal.
Before the match, Rotimi Pedro from AfroSport, organizers of the competition, said, “I am excited to share that The Unity Cup is back.
“Reviving this important community event has taken time, and we are thrilled that the fans of African and Caribbean football will experience top-level international matches at The Unity Cup 2025.”

“With so many top stars and well-known teams taking part, this event is not just significant for its cultural impact, but also shows the increasing importance of African and Caribbean football in the business world.
