The body of a pre-degree student of the University of Ilorin has been found in the swimming pool of a hotel in the Kwara State capital.
The body, according to findings, was discovered at the weekend.
The circumstances surrounding the tragic incident or the identity of the student have not been ascertained.
However, in a phone chat with our correspondent on the matter, Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Mr Okasanmi Ajayi, in Ilorin, said: “Investigation has been launched into the incident.”

“So far, it is suspected that the boy must have drowned in the swimming pool at the Bekadims Hotel, located at Tanke Oke-Odo area, along the University of Ilorin Main Campus Road.”
Contacted, the Director, Corporate Affairs Unit of the University of Ilorin, Kunle Akogun, said, “I have no information about the incident.”
