Chief Executive Officer of Bullion Go-Neat Global Limited, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, has lamented the rising cases of people engaging in discrediting genuine made in Nigerian products and the local firms on social media.
He said the law enforcement agencies should arrest and prosecute such people to serve as a deterrent to others, and as a way of safeguarding genuine Nigerian companies.
Ajadi made the call during an interaction with a delegation of the Commerce and Industry Correspondents Association of Nigeria (CICAN), who visited him at his Ibafo factory in Ogun State.
The business mogul said that some people have developed the habit of pushing falsehood, especially through the social media, which end up tarnishing the image of hardworking local investors and entrepreneurs, saying that the trend should be checkmated.

Developing a product of value, he stated entails a lot of sacrifices in terms of money, energy and deployment of expertise, expressing dismay however, that business rivals resort to media blackmail once such products become popular just to destroy them for their selfish gains.
He therefore advocated that person’s engaging in such acts be fished out and prosecuted by security agencies.
“I am thus advising the security agencies to be on the alert over such people, since they are only out to damage genuine individuals trying to create employment and products in the economy.”
“The regulatory agencies should indeed be alert and checkmate these unpatriotic individuals and safeguard genuine Nigerian businesses, so that they can continue to create employment and also provide Nigerians products of value,” Ajadi said.
