Stella Damasus’ estranged husband, Daniel Ademinokan, has publicly responded to recent claims made by the actress, regarding the circumstances surrounding the dissolution of their marriage.
The couple, who tied the knot in a small ceremony in 2014, finalized their divorce in 2020, but had largely maintained a level of privacy about their split until now, with new revelations sparking fresh interest.
In a recently resurfaced interview with popular television host, Teju Babyface, Damasus made a shocking revelation, claiming to have discovered the end of her marriage through a YouTube video.
“I pride myself in being a very respectable person, a lot of things were said about me on YouTube. That is how I found out that my marriage had ended, on YouTube,” she stated, her voice filled with emotion.
In stark contrast, Ademinokan has vehemently challenged the actress’ narrative through a series of compelling posts on Instagram, where he shared a screenshot of an email correspondence from Damasus, which he claims showed she initiated the divorce proceedings.
Known for steering clear of public drama, the filmmaker explained his decision to speak out after years of silence, feeling it was necessary to clarify the situation.
Ademinokan accused Damasus of repeatedly leveraging his name to construct a misleading narrative regarding their separation and divorce, despite the legal conclusion of their marriage being finalized over three years ago.
“I usually don’t dignify nonsense with a response, but when silence is mistaken for ignorance or guilt, it’s only fair to offer a quick 5-minute reality check. Today’s your lucky day,” he asserted, addressing Damasus directly.
“Dear queen mother, five years since the separation, three since the divorce. Still, you just can’t let go. I’ve said nothing. I’ve seen nothing. I’ve done nothing, since 2020.
“But for some reason, I’m still living rent-free in your narrative,” he wrote, highlighting his frustration over her continued public commentary on their past relationship.
Ademinokan sought to clarify that his long-standing restraint should not be confused with weakness or an admission of wrongdoing, warning that any further inaccuracies would be met with documented proof.

“Let me be clear: silence is not guilt. Distance is not weakness. But lies? Especially ones I have receipts for? That’s a different story,” he continued fiercely.
“I’ve watched you twist facts with confidence, assuming no one’s paying attention. But now that you’ve mistaken grace for guilt, I will ask you to choose your next story wisely because I came with footnotes,” he cautioned ominously.
He strongly contested Damasus’ claim that she learned about their divorce through an online platform, labeling it a “fabrication.”
Ademinokan stated: “You claimed I signed and sent you the divorce papers that you were not aware of. Another lie. Quick reality check: Who filed for divorce?”
He emphasized the fact that such information is a matter of public record and threatened to share the official documents if necessary.
“But don’t worry; I’ll post the receipts. A little reminder, just in case selective memory is setting in,” he added pointedly.
As of now, Stella Damasus has yet to respond to the allegations made by her ex-husband.
