Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun remarked that the effective organization of the National Sports Festival has established the state as a benchmark state and a pathway to excellence.
Gov. Dapo highlighted the substantial positive influence of the current 22nd National Sports Festival on the state.
The governor visited multiple sports facilities throughout Abeokuta to witness the events firsthand.
He made a stop at the Alake Sports Centre in Ikeja, where he observed competitions in handball, table tennis, squash, and several other sports.
Later, he reached the MKO Abiola Sports Centre, the primary venue for the festival, to observe additional events and hand out medals.
After the mixed relay race, where Ogun secured the gold medal, he presented awards and commended the athletes for their outstanding performances and sportsmanship.

Labeling the 22nd NSF as the best organized in its history, Gov. Abiodun conveyed his pride in how the event was executed overall.
“Our objective was to conduct a memorable NSF. We committed ourselves wholeheartedly, and today, we witness the success of that objective,” he remarked.
He highlighted the excitement and engagement seen throughout the sporting events, expressing joy at the festival’s inclusivity and vibrant atmosphere.
“The significant economic ripple effect from the NSF has been remarkable,” he mentioned, showcasing the advantages it brought to local industries and tourism.
Gov. Abiodun emphasized the necessity of assessing the economic influence of the festival on Ogun.
