Renowned Abuja base sports commentator Sean. Pablo, has criticized the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) for failing to pay him his contracted allowances, claiming that the organization has repeatedly ignored his requests for outstanding payments.
Sean. Pablo expressed his frustration, stating that despite his dedication and effort to meet their expectations, the Nigerian sports body has not compensated him for his work.
He is well-known in Abuja for his distinctive commentary style during various sports events, including volleyball, football, tennis, handball, gymnastics, and cricket.
He noted that he has not received complete payments from these agencies for his services, despite numerous complaints.
He praised the Nigeria Tennis Federation for effectively addressing his payment concerns and providing timely compensation.
Currently, Sean is participating in the ongoing Nigerian Volleyball Controller General of Customs National Volleyball Premier League Phase 1, taking place at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
Pablo has received numerous awards, including the Visible Nigerian Journalist award from Ghana. From Algeria, he was honored with two prestigious accolades: the National Jersey Brand Award (NJBA) and the Visible Nigerian Commentator’s Award (VNCA).
Additionally, Morocco recognized him with the Best Confederation of African Volleyball Award (BCAVA).

He lamented the Nigerian sports body’s reluctance to support talent, even when individuals have worked hard and earned their due.
“Two of my previous payments are still pending, and the amount I receive from the NVBF and other sports federations is not even sufficient, but I have to accept it to make ends meet,” he stated.
There has been a surge of complaints from stakeholders across various sports federations regarding breaches of payment agreements.
Sean. Pablo urged the Nigeria Sports Commission to pay attention to these issues to promote fairness and encourage talent development for the advancement of sports in the country.
Sean Pablo lauded President Tinubu for his efforts in supporting athletes who have excelled for the nation and urged him to extend similar recognition to other contributors of sports development throughout the country.
The trumpet’s attempts to contact NVBF and others to hear their side of the claim were unsuccessful.
