Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi has faulted the role played by society and institutions in entrenching the get-rich-quick mentality in the Nigerian populace, especially the youths.
Adejobi said there is need to overhaul the current complacent mindset of sensitive structures in Nigerian society.
The FPRO made the call on Tuesday while presenting a paper on the topic, “Insecurity and Get-Rich-Quick Syndrome: Implications for the Nigerian Society” at a public lecture held by the Federal College of Education, Abeokuta, Ogun State. The Trumpet Gathered
According to Adejobi, the society and institutions are encouraging the youths to indulge in illicit activities with the intention to get-rich-quick. He demystified the role played by the society and institutions and called for total reform.

Audience in attendance was made up of students and staff of the college, members of various unions, as well as religious and traditional groups.
Also in attendance was the Chief Host and Provost of the College, Dr R. A. Soyele and the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Police Command, CP Lanre Bankole, who said the role of the family is very important in curbing the growing menace of insecurity in the land, saying the family is a microcosm of the country.
Adejobi, however, lends credence to the fact that school, besides the family, remains a vital ground for cross fertilization of equally positive ideas for all-inclusive development in our country.
