At just 24, Lagos-born artist Folarin Odunlami, popularly known as FOLA, has crossed an impressive 1 billion streams across major platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube — a milestone achieved barely a year after signing with Dangbana Republik.
FOLA’s rise has been accelerated by the success of his debut EP, ‘What a Feeling’, and his album ‘Catharsis’, which delivered standout tracks like ‘You’ and featured collaborations with Afrobeats heavyweights Kizz Daniel and Wizkid.
His label, along with industry icons such as Olamide, has celebrated the achievement, highlighting both FOLA’s expanding international influence and the continued global dominance of Afrobeats.
