Nigerian singer Chike has accused a social media user, Chioma Nneoma Ochibili, of allegedly defrauding him in a failed business deal.
The singer shared his claims in a series of posts on X on Monday morning, detailing how the situation unfolded.
Chike stated that he paid Ochibili around $20,000 for a business opportunity she had presented to him, only to later find out that the proposed venture seemingly never existed.
Expressing his disappointment online, the singer conveyed his shock at potentially being deceived.
“Chioma Nneoma Ochibili, are you a thief? This is how they operate. They claim to be involved in certain businesses. Her business is to profit from your money.
“$50,000 gone. I haven’t seen the $20,000 of my hard-earned money either. How did I find out so late that I’m just another victim she has scammed? I can’t help but laugh at myself,” he wrote.
Chike also warned his followers to be cautious and avoid any business dealings with her.
Some fans requested clarification on the nature of the business deal. In response, he emphasized that the specific business idea was not the main issue.
He pointed out that the real concern was that the supposed venture allegedly did not exist at all.

“Whatever business Chioma offers you isn’t the problem. The significant issue here is that the business doesn’t even exist, which amounts to fraud,” he added.
The singer further revealed that he has started taking steps to recover the money he claims to have lost in the deal.
He explained that the arrangement was initially presented as a legitimate opportunity, but things changed once he discovered that the business itself was not real.
“For context, it was a business transaction, but when the business doesn’t even exist, that becomes fraud. Realizing that this is Chioma’s way of operating is concerning,” Chike stated.
