A large number of Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) demonstrators took to the streets of Numan, headquarters of Numan Local Government Area of Adamawa Sttae on Wednesday in protest against the ongoing conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States.
The protesters sympathetic to the global Shiite community, gathered in significant numbers to express anger over the recent military actions in the Middle East following devastating strikes that reportedly killed Iran’s supreme leader in a joint attack by U.S. and Israeli forces.
Demonstrations by the same movement have been reported in other parts of the country, including in Lagos, Kano, Sokoto and Yobe States, where protesters condemned foreign military intervention and voiced solidarity with Iran.
Waving banners and chanting slogans critical of the United States and Israel, the protesters marched through key streets of Numan.
The march reflects the growing concern among some Muslim communities in Nigeria about the broader geopolitical crisis and its humanitarian and political implications.
